Gauge: approx 5 sc per inch
new stitch: dtc = double treble. Thread over hook 3 times & work through
This pattern highlights sport weight yarn with metallic highlights
Setup: measure 1/8" round elastic gold or silver and knot to size.
R1: start covering with SC approx 1-1/2" before knot working R to
L around
When you reach the beginning connect with sl st, and start working bi-directional:
R2: ch 4, sk 2 sc, dc, ch6, then do sk 2 sc, tc, ch 6 once, (dtc, sk 1
sc, ch 6) 6 times making 5 center spokes closer together. End with (sk
2 sc, tc, ch6) 1 time and (dc, sk 2 sc, ch 4 , sc)
R3: sl st to top of loop, then (ch6, sc) around to make 8 loops
R4: dec 1 loop at beginning (ch 6, sc in previous loops) to make 7 loops
R5: dec 1 loop at beginning (ch 6, sc in previous loops) to make 6 loops
R6: dec 1 loop at beg & end to make 4 loops (ch 12, dtc) and end with
sl sts to anchor
Fingers (not thumb) should fit through the 4 loops. If not, adjust size.
